Fairfield House, in Fairfield Road, close to Brentwood station, is a former office building of approx. 10,000 sq.ft which was previously occupied by The Job Centre. The owners, a major private property company, obtained planning permission to re-develop the building into 16 apartments and it was then put up for sale last summer. Mass & Co acted jointly with Strettons to sell the building freehold.
After only a short marketing period the property attracted a significant level of interest with 20 initial offers received from both local and national property developers and, after a second round of bids, the site successfully sold to IPE Developments at a price which far exceeded the seller's expectation. The sale completed last December and IPE propose to start re-development work later this year.
