Mass & Co have secured Grade A office space at Nexus, Harlow Innovation Park on behalf of Renesas Electronics Europe GmbH.
Renesas is a global leader in microcontrollers, analog, power and SoC (system on a chip) products. It provides comprehensive solutions for a broad range of automotive, industrial, infrastructure and IoT (internet of things) applications.
Mass & Co were originally instructed to advise in respect of the renewal of Renesas’s lease at its current offices. It quickly became apparent, however, that these premises would not suit future needs and expansion so we instigated a search for alternative accommodation centred on Harlow, Bishop's Stortford and Stansted. A number of properties were considered before settling on Nexus.
Nexus is a new, three storey, Grade A office building, set within the wider Harlow Enterprise Zone. The building has a BREEAM ‘very good’ rating. Renesas was drawn to the development by the opportunity to be part of a collaborative sci-tech community.
Renesas has taken 10,024 sq.ft. (931.3 sq.m.) of offices plus a terrace comprising the entire second (top) floor. Fit out is about to commence with a view to occupation being taken in early summer 2021. Renesas will be the first tenant to occupy the building.
Mass & Co were pleased to secure the premises and negotiate terms for a ten year lease. The owner, Harlow District Council, was represented by Derrick Wade Waters.
